    Monaco 2025: Old fief of Baux

    On the obverse is depicted in the center the famous rock of Les Baux-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône) in its present state, together with the surroundings of the village of Les Baux-de-Provence. At the top of the coin appears the issuing country “MONACO”, accompanied on the right by a checkered shield and on the left by the star symbolizing Les Baux. At the bottom are the inscription “MARQUISAT DES BAUX”, the year of issue “2025”, as well as the mintmarks of the Monnaie de Paris and the general engraver Joaquin Jimenez. On the outer ring of the coin are the twelve stars of the European flag.
