    Estonia 2019: Estonian Song Festival

The tradition of the Estonian Song Festival was born in 1869. It can be seen in the context of the rise of Estonian national consciousness. The Estonian song festival is currently held in Tallinn every five years. At the Song Festival of 2014 more than 33,000 singers performed in front of an audience of nearly 153,000 people. The joint choir consisted of 22,000 singers. The image side shows three singing children in the middle, surrounded by notes on musical lines, which echo on the walls of the Laululava stage in Tallinn and interweave with a traditional patterned scarf.
